Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect when you submit a septic service request, why we collect it, and who it is shared with.
What we collect
- Your name, mobile number and email address
- The service address, suburb, city, postcode and region
- Details about your septic system and the problem you describe
- Any photo links you choose to provide
- Technical information such as the page you arrived on, referring site and campaign parameters
Why we collect it
We collect this information to process your service request, work out the relevant service area, and pass the request to an independent septic service provider covering your area so they can contact you about the work. When you use address suggestions, the address text you type is used to query the LINZ Data Service through our server.
Who we share it with
Your request details are provided to the independent provider assigned to your area, or held by us where no provider is currently assigned. We do not sell your information or share it with unrelated third parties.
How it is stored
Requests are stored in our own database on our own server infrastructure. Access is restricted to authorised administrators. Email notifications are sent over authenticated SMTP.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask what personal information we hold about you and request a correction. You can also contact us about deletion where appropriate. Email help@septicconnect.co.nz with your reference number if you have one.
